On May 21st, the campaign of "Key Visual Design Collection for the World University Games Chengdu" started to involve school children -- through the series events of "Paint the World University Games in Your Heart" which will enter more than 70 schools and kindergartens. These events are aimed at conveying the spirit of sports and inviting children to join the trend of "creating an image for the World University Games". This summer, a sporting craze is about to sweep school campuses!

As an important part of the open call for key visual design collection for the World University Games Chengdu 2021, students are warmly invited to participate in the series events "Paint the World University Games in Your Heart" to draw the key visual image of the Games in their heart, conveying their feelings, and communicating their infinite imagining for the Games, with their paintbrushes. At the same time, activities such as offline lectures and awarded quiz sessions will be held across more than 20 schools, so that teachers and students can experience the World University Games Chengdu 2021 in advance, which helps the spirit of sports to take hold in these schools.

Drawing a colorful picture of the Games stroke by stroke

At 9 am, a vivid art public class with the theme of "Paint the World University Games in Your Heart" was held in the DongChenggen Street Primary School of Chengdu. The art teacher Wu Dandan is leading her students to draw pictures of the Games. The children were so eager that they could not wait to get started with their array of colorful art tools. Their innocent faces shone as they are immersed in the mood of welcoming the World University Games Chengdu 2021. With great passion, they were just like "submitting" their creations for the Games' "key visual design collection" themselves.

Children's paintings are full of imagination, such as the giant pandas (a symbol of Sichuan) competing in swimming events, or the SunBird (a symbol of the local Chengdu culture) lifting weights, and so on. They are showing their expectation of the Games and their love for their hometown with vivid paintings.

The vigorous creativity of them has created a series of splendid works under the theme of the World University Games, impressing the teachers a lot. Art teacher Luo Danting said that there were a lot of teachers in the school were planned to participate in the key visual design collection campaign. Before this class, she had already made some sketches in her offices, but it was the creative works that the children painted that gave her new inspirations. So she joined them to paint too and created something new for herself. She would finish the works later and submit it.

All the works from children will be recorded and collected, and awards will be given to the excellent ones later.

The "World University Games Fever" will continue in school art classes

The series events will "stay" in children's art classrooms. A series of "brainstorming classes for the World University Games Chengdu 2021" is also taking place in schools.

During the art class for grade five's class three in DongChenggen Street Primary School of Chengdu, the students spoke freely and exchanged ideas around the topic of "the Dreams of the World University Games Chengdu 2021" to "support" the Games committee, who sincerely want their ideas. One student remarked, "I know that the slogan of the Games is 'Chengdu Makes Dreams Come True', and I hope that 'Rongbao (the mascot of the Games)' will join me in exercising every day". Some students stood up excitedly to describe the scene of the World University Games as " by then Chengdu will be full of athletes from all over the world, and there will be more running enthusiasts all gathered together!"......

The "Paint the World University Games in Your Heart" series events are designed to convey the concept of "loving sports and depicting a beautiful Chengdu together" and to cultivate children's awareness of loving sports and actively participating in both cultural and sporting activities. The events will continue until the 29th of this month.
